About us

 Welcome to WiserHealth!

WiserHealth has grown out of a small business I ran for around 15 years called FeetWise.

In 1998 I graduated as a Reflexologist from the Oxford School of Reflexology.  I worked first in Milton Keynes and then when we relocated to Plymouth, Devon in 2004 I began treating clients again in the wonderful South Hams village of Wembury.  It was at that time that I spotted a business training course run solely for women to be hosted in Ivybridge.  I liked the idea of learning better business development skills and meeting other women also setting up in business, so I signed up and I'm really pleased I did!  After the four day course, with funding and encouragement from the Community Council of Devon, I helped to set up and coordinate a women's business network called W.I.N (Women's Ivybridge Network.)

In 2006 we moved to Plympton and here I am lucky enough to have a large airy room where I practise my Reflexology and relaxation therapy.  I continued to coordinate the group and we enjoyed lots of training, hosted an International Women's Enterprise Day and set ourselves up as a membership organisation.

During this time I developed my skills in organising and running the network, as well as invaluable business skills including marketing and IT.  Wanting to develop FeetWise further I was really pleased to be asked to coordinate another group with fresh funding from a new project called Women Do Business.  In 2009 Natural HealthNet was born, a group of women Natural Health Therapists who meet together on a regular basis to support each other, raise the profile of Complementary Therapy and develop their businesses through business training.

After another year of excellent training and outstanding business support,  WiserHealth is growing from strength to strength.  This year will see WiserHealth working more closely with other therapists and offering more therapies to our services.

Another activity of WiserHealth is the exciting development of the 'Time To Relax' mornings in Plymouth.  This has grown out of my role as a parent of a child with Autisim.  Please see the events section for more information.

Don't be afraid to get in touch and share your thoughts with me.

Best wishes
